I looked forward to it, then was disappointed when the sky was filled with clouds but like you, having seen partial eclipses over my lifetime, didn’t expect what happened… true emotion when it got as dark as night and one little opening showed the sun through the clouds! Amazing!
In my earlier days, I was very resistant to big events like this - seemed too "band-wagon". Then over the years, I realized, via experience, that usually a pretty good time is had by embracing unique events.
I too was not thrilled about the eclipse. We stayed home to watch. Must say it was moving to see the event especially when i felt the pull of the moon on my mindset. Not expecting that but knew that humans had no hand in this happening and to allow my mind to feel the experience. Sort of like calzone take me away and a peaceful experience.
Thanks Kate for your words and insight much appreciated.
